Could we just end this thread right here?

I tire of speculation about motives, significance, etc.

No good has ever come of it, at least not in our little neck of the
woods. 

Contribute to projects, create topic maps, encourage others to do so,
etc. 

That seems like a more productive course of action to me. 

Professional criticism/evaluation, sure. 

"Hey, you left out all the IRIs in your topic map." Stuff like that. ;-)
