The only thing which I changed in TAMPI 2.0 was that Topic::getTypes() may return also type-instance relationships which are modelled as association and not as property of the Topic object (iff the Topic Maps engine is configured to handle type-instance relationships as assocs). Probably it does not offer the TMDM functionality but that could be implementation-specific (although I believe 99.99% of the Topic Maps engines return the 'direct' types). Anyway, TMAPI has nothing in common with TMQL.
