Hi all, the YAML 1.1 specification contains an explicit definition for directive in complete streams - http://yaml.org/spec/1.1/current.html#id898785 This is the definition: If the document <http://yaml.org/spec/1.1/current.html#document/syntax> specifies no directives <http://yaml.org/spec/1.1/current.html#directive/syntax>, it is parsed <http://yaml.org/spec/1.1/current.html#parse/> using the same settings as the previous document <http://yaml.org/spec/1.1/current.html#document/syntax>. If the document <http://yaml.org/spec/1.1/current.html#document/syntax> does specify any directives <http://yaml.org/spec/1.1/current.html#directive/syntax>, all directives <http://yaml.org/spec/1.1/current.html#directive/syntax> of previous documents <http://yaml.org/spec/1.1/current.html#document/syntax>, if any, are ignored. This is the example: Example 7.13. Next Documents But I could not find the same definition in YAML 1.2. What happens with YAML and TAG directives in complete streams ? Is it the same as in YAML 1.1 ?
