thankz for the views but u still haven't answered the
question 

say some body not MS  builds a OS far better than
windows and Linux but is not open source ,u may not
agree but say for a moment think it is possible a
closed source OS with a great performance than Linux
or any open source or closed source.

Then will u prefer to use that  OS or use a say non
performing OS (as compared to the hypothetical OS)
like Linux.  




what i feel is its technology we admire and if we find
a technology better than the existing one we would
shift to it , say u would had to buy firefox , won't u
buy it for its superior performance or will u just
wait for a open source explorer to provide those
features
