Dear mansoor,

            after oracle installation you need to do some post installation configuration like,

   edit /etc/ora*.
   create startup script to  initialize database seed and mount the pity oracle automatically; some procedure you need to follow like which run level you  use rc3 (for text only term with full OS functionality, for use rc5. to do that follow the following instruction

§         create the script file and give it (x) permission for all users, and carry it to “/etc/rc.d/init.d”

§         run “chkconfig”  to link your script to you chosen run level.

§         Start up your script “# /etc/rc.d/init.d/oracle start” .
