Thanks, Colm. A year or two ago, Mick (my other half) and I were thinking of a barcamp as there hasn't been on in ages, and due to me stepping back from running PyCon Ireland and Python Ireland. Our RuPy idea was shot down, so barcamp was the obvious choice, but we didn't do anything since. Even though there are no events, it's great to see the community active online. :-) Thank you all for the feedback so far. So is there anyone who want to be on the "person you should know" section, you will be representative of ILUG with a your mugshot. ;-) By the way, this guide is a slidedeck and will be freely available online to view, and I'm having a lot of fun finding out about other user groups origins. I only know of the history of Python Ireland because I was part of it since the beginning. If you know of organisations circa 2005, let me know also, if you can remember that far!
