Hi all, My Ubuntu 16.04 system has suddenly stopped working. By that I mean that it gives me the graphical login prompt, but when I type in my password, it just re-displays the login prompt. The problem isn't an invalid password. It seems to be related to some sort of permission problem, I'm guessing, but I can't figure out where to start looking to solve this. I've looked at the Xorg.0.log file in /var/log and also the .xsession-errors file in my home directory but I can't find any sort of smoking gun that tells me why Ubuntu won't load my desktop. Any help appreciated. Braun Brelin -- Irish Linux Users Group --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "ILUG" group.
