Folks,
Due to the success of the BelFOSS event last year, Queen's University and
the Belfast Linux User Group are bringing together a day of talks on Friday
27th January - in case anyone in ILUG is interested. There's hopefully
enough variety that everyone will get something out of it. If anyone wants
travel advice give me a shout ( jonnyDOTmccullaghATqubDOTacDOTuk ).

We have talks on Docker, PHP, DevOps and local companies such as Limerick
County Council, AllState, Black Duck and LibertyIT.
*Duration* 1 day
*Date* Friday 27th January 2017
*Time* 9.30am – 4.30pm
*Location* Computer Science (Bernard Crossland Building), Malone
Road, Belfast, BT9 5BN
*Website*: http://belfoss.eeecs.qub.ac.uk
*Registration* *Link*:
http://belfoss.eeecs.qub.ac.uk/registration/register-for-belfoss/
*Event Description*:
The BelFOSS event will showcase and raise awareness of Linux and
Free/Open-Source Software (FOSS) use in Belfast. Aimed at students, IT
professionals and hobbyists the talks will show how FOSS software is used
in government, in research and in global business. It is hoped the event
will raise awareness about demand from employers for skills and careers in
Linux/FOSS.

All the Best,
jonny
