Hi again all, Last weekend, I was going for the train. I put my laptop in my backpack - didn't switch off! Got on train, put laptop on table and opened it. Got login screen, then it just died. The underside near the batter was very hot - but it's been hot before and even cut out (I thought they were designed to cut out before damage could be done?). Anyway, I searched the internet and tried the remove lead and battery, depress power button for 30 seconds, then plug power cable back in (but not battery). No joy! So, what I'd like to know is can anyone recommend a good laptop repair shop for the machine - it's a Samsung with 8GB of RAM - quite a good machine, so I'd like to ressurect it and, of course, there's loads of stuff I didn't back up :-( Rgs, -- Happy Dublin-based Linux user!
