Hello,

Long time lurker, first time replier. CentOS might be your best bet but
even that isn't offered in 32 bit anymore. You might have to comb the
torrent sites for a seed. If you are willing to compromise on the base then
there are still Debian based distros who are offering 32bit isos. I know
this as only a few months ago I installed Sparky Linux XFCE (testing) on a
pentium4 with 2gb of ram. All the mirrors and updates worked perfectly and
it pulled in a 4.15 kernel. It doesn't require you to be online for the
install but I had an ethernet cable nearby anyway. I don't have specific
advice re the wireless card but Intel based chips seem to have the best
support in the kernel.

Cheers,
Conor
