Re: NIS and GDM3

A few more bits, this seems like a NIS/GDM3 problem. 
I get the same problem with nfs /homes mounted or not.
Another user not relying on NIS can log in to Gnome using local /home or 
nfs /home
I can log into a terminal using NIS and mounted nfs4 /homes. So the problem 
seems to be GDM3 reading from NIS. I have edited and checked.
Gnome-shell shows the following errors:

Error looking up permission: 
GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name 
org.freedesktop.impl.portal.permissionstore was not provided by any service

and

libinput error: client bug: timer event1 debounce short: offset negative 
(-5ms)
