That's great news! A full-blown accounting package is what the distros
need today. A Tally-killer sort. I am already spreading the gospel at my
local LUG.

I have few queries and I request you to kindly provide some clarification:

[ PLATFORMS ]

1. Will avsap endeavour to be cross-platform in the future?

[ LAYERS OF ABSTRACTION ]

2. Can the dependence on PostgreSQL be converted into a database
abstraction layer? I know PostgreSQL 8 will have a native Win32 version;
I am just curious because there would be many people who are already
using other databases and may not very willing to learn and maintain yet
another database. Also, can it be possible to use a embedded database
such as BerkelyDB as a backing store in future?

3. Will there be ever a separation of the core engine and GUI-interface?
You know, there are many people who are better at PyGTK and PyQT and
would be interested in the project.

Regards,
Shantanu
