Hi, I want to develop an application which will dispaly a menu in a serial console and will accept from the keyboard connected to the serial port and depends on the current context and key push it will take another action. For this I thought of two approaches one is to run serial terminal and execute the program using the login script The other one is to run the daemon which listens for serial port and take action according to the input by the user. Which one will be good and Is it possible to use ncurser based applications to run in a serial port. I am new bie to this serial programming so please provide any pointers/links related to this.
