Where is the fault? Why cannot linux read DVDs it burned while windows can? No, this isn't normal. It's probably just a poor quality burn due to an error in OPC calculation. I can think of two reasons: 1. The laser/ lens of your DVD burner isn't performing optimally. Use a cleaning fluid for starters. 2. Your DVD isn't reflecting uniformly. Avoid using cheap DVDs. Hope this helps. P.S- For the sake of argument, yes, k3b might be inferior OPC determination process than other Windows alternatives like Nero in some ways.
