Yes, I'm also interested in knowing the dmesg output. Have been using K3b for years and never faced a problem like this. Also, what kinda DVDs are you burning? DVD movies? And when you say Linux is unable to read the DVD media, do you mean it even fails to mount it? Or is it just that your media player fails to play it?
