Your rationale is plausible and defensible in terms of technical specification, so I will not disagree with you; I know that historically, graphic artists have preferred CRT for the faithful colour representation. However, I prefer my LCD monitor on several levels: it uses 36W against my CRT's 112W (about one kWH in a normal long day) and the fact that I have had to set my workbench back from the wall to accommodate the honking tube on this thing, I could actually make my room "bigger" if I invested in a new monitor.
