Hi guys,

thanks to Ross for the info about www.tera-byte.com. It doesn't seem to say what OS is on the virtual servers, not that I have $55/month available, in any case. Or do you pay them $150 to install an OS, if you don't like Win 2K, as mentioned under colo's?

Info about places I have used:
I have been using web-only hosting services at http://123ehost.com (http://talksoftware.echlin.ca) and http://Stormweb.ca (http://hogwartsalumni.com). -
Well, OK, HogwartsAlumni is actually run by my wife's grad committee. I didn't get "the letter".

Both are at least Canadian, and I found reasonably priced for web hosting.

Thanks, Damian, for the info on http://isp-lists.isp-planet.com/isp-colo/
Sounds not quite like what I want, as you thought, but thanks anyway, you never know when you might want to do some ISP-type stuff <grin>.

And about the idea I have (one of many as for most people), no, not asking for assistance. No time to co-ordinate that much <grin>.
Comes of being in a S.I.L.K family.
(Single Income, Lotsa Kids)
Mainly, after saying it was of interest to me, I wanted to make sure no one would ask me how it was coming along. <grin>
