You can do a real colo server for $45/mo (minimal bandwidth) which is what I did. I'm running Gentoo Linux. They are very Linux friendly though, and I think they even had a surcharge if you were running a Windows server. I configured my box at home and mailed it to them. -Ross It would seem Robert Echlin, on Thu, Jul 24, 2008 at 06:10:49PM -0700, wrote: > Hi guys, > > thanks to Ross for the info about www.tera-byte.com. It doesn't seem to say what OS is on the virtual servers, not that I have $55/month available, in any case. Or do you pay them $150 to install an OS, if you don't like Win 2K, as mentioned under colo's? > > Info about places I have used: > I have been using web-only hosting services at http://123ehost.com (http://talksoftware.echlin.ca) and http://Stormweb.ca (http://hogwartsalumni.com). - > Well, OK, HogwartsAlumni is actually run by my wife's grad committee.
