Disappearing e-mails : solution + another problem

Many thanks for all your suggestions about this problem. I eventually fixed it in the somewhat unsatisfactory way of merely going to Thunderbird. Now I can download all e-mails. There is still another problem though. I want to import all my e-mail addresses into Thunderbird from Evolution so I exported as a .csv list but, when I go to load this list into Thunderbird it only has 3 of my 60 or so e-mail addresses hauled over! Without a whole pile of copying by hand, I'd much rather do this transfer automatically. Anyone any suggestions where the trouble might lie!
