Only that ST at the start of the model name is short for Seagate 
Technologies. I don't remember if any of their models affect don't have 
that in the Model. best to get the info, go to the ST website and then 
look up your Model, and type your SN into their query form.

And actually the other form of the hdparam info command:

(as root) hdparm -i /dev/sd?|grep Model

Gives everything your need nicely in one line, so I suggest you use it 
instead:

hdparm -i /dev/sd?|grep Model

  Model=ST3500320AS, FwRev=SD1A, SerialNo=9QM1...
  Model=ST3500320AS, FwRev=SD1A, SerialNo=9QM1...

(these are my two drives, now updated with SD1A firmware)
