I would start with a few sheets of paper soaked lightly with isopropyl (=rubbing, =medicinal) alcohol. Or windex, if you can't be bothered to get that. Failing that, try a very fine sandpaper (evil grin). (The reported problem, by the way, is that coatings on paper tend to deposit themselves on the rollers over time.
