Nothing, I repeat nothing, is comparable on Linux. Hands down. All other 3D options are either slow (due to the hardware), or horrid (ATI horrid drivers). This is one case, where if you want stability and quality, closed source is maintained and executed better. And really, anyone that thinks that "all $x is better than all $y" is a nutter. There are exceptions to every rule. The NVIDIA drivers just happen to be that example.
