Dear all, Just wondering, has anyone encountered situations where md5sums of a binary is inconsistent across servers? At $WORK, we needed to confirm the homogeneity of our cluster nodes. Did a full md5sum of each system, compared them to each other, but there are many surprising differences. For example, /bin/alsacard from the same alsa-utils RHEL rpm version have different md5sums, and different from the file extracted from the rpm. Did any encounter this before? Any tips to resolve this? Thanks for your help!
