He showed real cunning booking whatever remnants of a ‘band’ you’re still dragging about, letting you open his backyard gathering during that bleak little window when not even the neighbourhood cats bothered to wander past. In truth, it was the kindest outcome possible, sparing everyone from witnessing the slow'motion collapse that perfectly sums up the so'called ‘arts scene’ in Columbus, GA. Hats off to Mallard also, for turning down the microphone and blasting his guitar to cover up any chance of someone hearing you gargling a song.
