IME, Eraser is unable to erase deleted shortcuts and infrequently, other
types of files as well. For me, this holds true in Windows 7 and also a
fresh install (not an update) of Windows 10 Pro.

It's always a good idea to provide a home page link to the particular
program you're recommending or otherwise talking about. I forget to do
this once in a while myself when I'm just discussing a program, but try
to provide a link whenever I'm recommending a program.

I'd like to find an eraser program which can replace Heidi's Eraser:

and which provides a simple context menu listing like it. I'm using
version 5.8.8 of Eraser, and it still works well in W10. Newer versions
of the program added another layer to the context menu item, and as
often as I use the program by right-clicking on a file and selecting
"Erase", the extra click is mildly irritating.

For persistent files in the Recycle Bin, I use Privazer:

UI is a little busy, but it really does the job.
