Personal preference...
I like Lenovo Thinkpads.  I use an old Thinkpad and a newer one every 
day for work, 6-7 days per week, often at remote locations.  They are 
durable.  They are easily repairable by me.  Parts and diagrams are 
readily available.  They have mouse buttons at the track pad and a 
little red cursor mover button.  Acer does not have mouse buttons at the 
track pad or the mouse mover button.  For those reasons I would never 
buy an Acer.  An Acer might be ok for someone that sits at a desk all 
day, has an actual mouse, and never needs to take the laptop anywhere, 
but that is not for me.
