Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom Park will close for an extended refurbishment - of at least a year - on January 6, 2025 The last day to ride the wildest ride in the wilderness before it closes is scheduled to be January 5, 2025. As of this time, the attraction is scheduled to reopen at some point in 2026 with a little bit of new magic.
