Using function-descriptions and examples from php.net

I'm actually building my own site (www.php-praxis.net) where a so called "Code-Library" is implemented.
Now id like to put in there explainations of all documentated php-functions.
My question is now if its allowed to use the descriptions (or translations made by myself) and examples for the functions shown own your site?
