Hello Doc Team,

We were brainstorming possible ideas for helping the PHP community pitch in
with the relief efforts for the effects of hurricane Katrina, and one of the
ideas that came up was to publish a pocket-size function reference version
of the PHP Manual with all profits going directly to the Red Cross.

The book itself would not be a wholesale copy of the PHP manual as it
currently exists; only function names, argument descriptions and a brief
outline of each function would be provided.

We would, of course, not claim any copyright on the book (except for our
insigna and design), using the same copyright notice as the one that appears
on the online version of the manual and a copy of the OPL. We will also make
clear that the book comes with no specific endorsement from the Doc Team.

Let me know if you have any specific concerns, and whether this would be
possible. I know that this is going to sound extremely arrogant, but please
don't take it that way: in order to get this done while it's still relevant,
we need to move as quickly as possible, so I would really be grateful if you
could let me know your thoughts as soon as you can.

Cheers,

Marco
