Some regulars to the php-gtk channel have been discussing a means to standardize installation of php-gtk apps. By standardizing installation methods we hope to: 1. Eliminate unnecessary installations of PHP 2. Ease upgrading troubles 3. Minimize PHP breakage due to multiple installs 4. And generally keep installations from being overly bloated It has been proposed that an "official" php-gtk installer for Windows be created to help newer users. This installer would implement a standard method of identifying and locating preexisting PHP installs so as to avoid an overabundance of installs. This standardized method would be documented well enough to allow more advanced users to create their own installer if they choose to do so and still have the ability to track PHP installs already on the computer. Please let me know what you think and if you are interested in developing the installer/standards. Jace
