I'm running the apachelounge stuff myself without any problem, but I HAVE had to
change default PHP settings to get some applications working. You said that the
code seems to have completed before the crash point? I debug this type of
problem by dropping a print and die pair to find where the problem is ...
although with error reporting ON you should get something?

This would indicate that it is really the Magneto team that need to pin down the
problem so they can advise and design around it. While I have had a looked at
Magneto I'm still running a Zen cart port which most definitely needs E_STRICT
disabled on 5.4!
