I wasn't blaming you :) just explaining I didn't know.

Also why I could only give you

You also said "in two weeks or so", which is way too late for 5.3.

Pierre already did this (to my satisfaction at least).

Both approaches work so far as this goes. The logging/reporting wouldn't be 
affected by that.
