But haven't you read the UPGRADING about dropped XP support? Generally it
should work with early versions using VC9 and 5.4 x86 deps, even with the
current, but weren't optimal for the long run. Also 5.4 has not all the
deps as up to date as 5.5/VC11 Though there have been a couple of VC11
specific fixes to 5.5+.
