nobody suggested removing them in 5.x, and while I agree that adding a
deprecated notice before the removal would be a good thing, but currently
there is no 5.7, and when we discussed it back when merging phpng to
master, it seemed that many people felt that it shouldn't be one before the
release of PHP7, so I'm not sure how could someone incorporate this idea
into the rfc.
