Not clear if it's tested against the latest PHP, but no obvious indication that it's not. I'm in two minds on this one - removing cruft like this certainly makes the language feel more modern and maintained, but whether it's worth breaking the BC on this just for the sake of it, I'm not sure... -- Rowan Collins [IMSoP]
