    Greetings, all;

Today is the deadline for requesting an extension on Phase 2, as
outlined here:

        http://news.php.net/php.mirrors/39153

Thanks to some great work by a lot of you, we've already made a
lot of great progress. Thank you, all.

On 15 May, just 19 mirrors would be in compliance with the
requirements set forth in Phase 2. Today, that number is up to 49,
with one extension already filed. However, 55 mirrors have neither
upgraded nor filed an extension request. Because of that, I'll be
putting out an open call for new mirrors to apply to the waiting list
to fill the inevitable void.

If you haven't yet upgraded your version of PHP to PHP 5.3 >=
5.3.10 (>= 5.3.3 if using a distro package, such as RPM/DEB) or PHP
5.4 >= 5.4.0, you'll need to either email me by 11:59p EDT tonight, or
upgrade your version of PHP to at least the minimum versions shown
here no later than 15 June, 2012, 11:59p EDT. Those who have failed
to upgrade or file for an extension will be expelled and replaced as
of 16 June, 2012. Those who file by tonight will be granted an
extension to 30 June, 2012, 11:59p EDT.

As of this moment, the following mirrors have yet to upgrade:

        AR
        AT
        AU2
        BG
        BG2
        BR2
        CA
        CA2
        CN2
        CZ2
        DK
        DK2
        ES2
        FI2
        FR
        GR
        HK
        HR
        HU
        HU2
        IE
        IE2
        IN
        IN2
        *IN3 (Filed Extension)
        IR2
        IS
        JP
        LT
        MX2
        MY
        PT2
        RO2
        SE
        SG2
        SI
        SI2
        SK
        TH
        TR2
        TW
        TZ
        US
        US2
        US3
        WWW

And the following REALLY outdated mirrors, which still run PHP
5.1.6 (which was the old minimum distro requirement):

        AZ
        BD
        CO
        ID2
        IR
        NZ
        PA2
        SG
        TR

If your mirror is listed here without a star, you MUST either
email me ASAP (again, before midnight tonight) to request the 30 June
extension, or upgrade to one of the minimum versions or better (the
latest version is always preferred) on or before 15 June, 2012.

As you can see, some entire countries are in jeopardy of losing
their mirrors. It was for this reason that the upgrade requirements
were delayed, so that the waiting list had sufficient time to build
enough of a roster of availability and eligibility. There may be a
few cases, however, where a suitable replacement does not exist on the
waiting list, however, which is why I'll be initiating an open call
for mirrors. If you have additional resources in other countries and
have not yet added your information for those countries to the waiting
list, but would like to be considered, please submit your information
at http://php.parasane.net/mirrors/waitinglist.php .

Finally, if anyone needs hands-on help to upgrade their version of
PHP, please let me know. I can provide you with a special public key
that I will use for this operation, or you can create a temporary
password on your mirror. Simply create the account for me (danbrown),
give it sudo access, and I'll take care of the rest. I don't expect
many of these requests, though, because we're fortunate to have a very
gifted talent pool in our mirror program --- you guys.

As always, thanks for everything you guys do. It is certainly appreciated.
