Hi Hannes,

I have no idea where that 404 error came from. I wonder if I'm the first and only one reporting such issue. I can see some other mirror maintainers are providing feedback about a similar (or same?) situation...

There was no maintenance or backup going on at that time.

If you allow me some comments please, we always try hard to maintain in good shape all the mirrors we provide, which include a couple for PHP and other projects. And we always try to comply with all of your requirements as soon as you deliver them. But we are not in the high-availability, 100% uptime business. None of our current upstreams providers in those countries can provide that, even if we'd want to. I'm sorry.

There always will be at least some minor downtime every now and then. And I believe one of the purposes of having at least 2 mirrors per country is to try to provide as much uptime as possible for PHP developers/visitors. I'm aware you (PHP Team) have been busy lately and I hope you can go back to the waiting list (we ourselved have offered one or two more mirrors) at your earliest convenience.

If there is anything else I can help you with, within our time and humble resources, we'll be glad to.

Thanks!

All the best,

Jaime Echeverry

Can you think of any reason why that request would have resulted in 404 error?
Was there a maintenance going on at the time and the virtualhost disabled maybe?

The mirror is currently marked as active so the issue has resolved itself since.
