First, if you want to have a chance to be read (by a large audience), 
and talk about a subject, don't reuse a CVS commit that has nothing to 
do with purpose.

Second, as I don't know the raison about revcheck, I've begin to search 
on archive mailing list. And I found this one [1], that introduced your 
question.
