Hi Sylvain,

The normal path to maintain a package is first help on it, sending
patches, bugs, and comments, don't worry about the state of the
package, because not maintained packages are maintained by QA group,
then, your patches will be reviewed and applied. Begin with this and i
will try to review and apply your patches, and in the future, you can
ask again for maintaining the package.

Contributing to the rest of the pear project with comments, patches,
and bugs can be a plus.
