Over-enthusiastic "unsupported packages"

Hi Daniel,

I accidentally noticed that my package HTML_Template_Sigma was
  a) Marked unsupported;
  b) Moved to github (where I don't even have an account as haven't yet found 
time to learn Git workflow);
  c) Assigned a new maintainer: http://news.php.net/php.pear.qa/6043

Everything was done without any attempt to contact me whatsoever, even though I 
regularly write to PEAR-related lists and can be easily reached.

I don't have problems with adding another maintainer to the package, but I'd 
prefer being notified of such drastic changes. Can you please be less secretive 
about your work?
