Unmaintained package Spreadsheet_Excel_Writer

Hello,

I would like to take over the maintenance for the Spreadsheet_Excel_Writer
package.

I am a software engineer and I currently work in a company that is
utilizing the spreadsheet excel writer package to generate various excel
reports. During this time I have noticed a few limitations and we have also
needed to alter the package slightly on our machines to eliminate some php
notices and warnings, since they would spam our inbox if we didn't fix them.

Otherwise the package seems to be fairly solid, but I was looking over the
bug tracker for the package and it looks like it still needs some TLC. I'd
really like to be able to contribute to the package instead of just
altering it locally on our machines.
