docs please

Could someone please show me any example usage, documentation or anything at
all.  What I could find wasn't very informative, well at least not to me.

I've found some tutorials on phpbuilder, but I'm having problems with them,
and I have no other source of information to reference.  I'd like to use
pear's db class but how can I if I don't have any documentation.
