APC beta status

Hi everyone,

mayb I ask if there's a good reason for APC 3.1.3p1 to be still tagged 
as beta in pecl close to one year after its release? My guess is that 
it's because of the PHP4 compatibility break, but of course there might 
be another reason.

I'm asking because I'm trying to get the Sourceguardian team to fix 
their loader extension to work with the latest APC, which is currently 
untested because it's still beta software. Bringing them proof that it 
actually is not might help me change their minds ;)
