How that php4 is being retired.. bless her cotton socks .. me loved her 2...
Is it time now for a complete revamp:
eg
- A pure php5 implementation ala smarty5 maybe.. with core engine, ie
parsing and "standard filters/plugins" eg removal of {popup} - this is to
sit on smarty.php.net, and using a "modern" scm system .. eg svn or
git CVS is dead
- Revival of "smarty.sf.net" as the "users zone" where u get the core
smarty engine and all the extras.. We can make up the whole SmartyKit with
all the extras etc
- removal of all xhtml code as that is spurious with xhmtl not being
implemeted.. as maybe a flag of "html" or "xhtml".
- The manual - removal of Wap and some other olde time stuff.. ef teh
"font style=";;"
- Maybe the approach should be like php5>php6 and makring functions
until their converted
Thinking about things/
Oh yea, a proper Debian .deb dist, up2date and current.
