PHP is not going to have 2 syntaxes.

I feel troubled that some people view this template engine as adding
another syntax to PHP itself. It's not changing PHP at all. It's simply
another extension which allows you to use templates, if you so desire.
"PHP might lose performance"? Why, because it has template engine as an
optional extension? What "split in the development of PHP" are you
talking about? I'm completely baffled.
