Apparently my counting is not so good :) > Top left: information on the floating point bug with a link to the test script. > Top right: support information; something titled like "Need Help?" > with a one sentence summary of the basic options (mailing list, IRC, > StackOverflow, whatever) and a link to /support. > Bottom left: get involved. > Bottom right: user groups. Sounds reasonable to me. For the user-groups section, would that be a list of events? > To be honest, as I've written this, I've kind of come to the > conclusion that I actually prefer the existing news feed, and that we > might be better off shunting the non-news information into the > sidebar. :) I don't have much of an opinion either way. It's easier to design the center section if it's a big news feed. On the other hand It could end up looking a bit bland and there won't be as much opportunity to feature other information. > I'm not too bothered about the elephpants one way or the other: they > do add a bit of colour to the page, but I don't think that bar can be > any bigger than it is in the mockup. Personally I hope the elephpants stay in some form or another. There are some technical questions in my mind about how we would pre-gen the collages though. Stew
