I've not responded because I've only a very high level knowledge of  
Git. I've never actually used it for a project, so I don't feel I'm  
qualified to chime in.

That said, if the choice becomes Move to Git[hub] vs. Stay on CVS, I'd  
jump on the Git bandwagon in a hurry (-:
