Isn't that an arguement against it :-)
I don't want to end with people dragging lots of stuff by accident into
the WebDAV location - and forcing them to set a commit message is a good
thing either imo.

Except for that I think the main factors for the decision are
- system load produced by them
- flexibility for user management
