Chris, One option is to try and find at least one other person (outside your organization) who can commit to going to the first few meetings. This way you won't be the only person at these first few meetings. At our first meeting no one else showed up. However, once I had one other person on board that seemed to be the critical mass to get a handful of other people to show up.
