We moved to Google Groups at the beginning of March 2009. When we moved, we 
scrubbed our list of inactives... and it dropped from 250 to ~120. Since then, 
we've had *crazy* growth and we're pushing 400 subs now.

In spite of all of that, we never had a Meetup Group. As a result of the tek 
Community Session, one of our guys - Sandy Smith (@SandyS1) - started the 
Meetup Group and we got *5* new people at our Beverage Subgroup last week. We 
don't have longterm data yet, but *holy crap*.. I wish we'd done that two 
years ago when we started cleaning things up.
